Dating struggles

Another thing that parents are too quick to judge is appearance. For example one person could like yellow while another person’s favorite color is blue. I mean by this is that no two people have the exact same taste. This goes for looks in people too. No matter if it’s skin color, height, weight, facial hair, tattos, peircing etc. it doesn’t matter. Parents need to accept that everyone has a different taste in what appeals to the eye. Over all dating is your decision because it’s your life and not your parents. One day in 20 years who’s going to be putting up with a husband your parents or you? Exactly. So why listen to anyone other than yourself? You know what you like best in everything, dating included.

Although some parents may see it necessary to monitor there children’s dating choices, I disagree. Parents should not have an effect on their children’s dating life. Although parents think they know what’s best for you only you know yourself. I believe personality plays a big part in this. For example, most likely your personality isnt the exact same as your parents, which may be why they don’t see your compatibility with your partner. In order for a relationship to work the two people they involve, have to have personalities that work for each other. Since your parents don’t have the same personality if you they won’t see how your two personalities fit. If they don’t understand why you go out with the people you do, help them to by giving them chances to see. After a while of doing this they should start to get along.

iPads and IPods and MacBooks (oh my)

With every new year, thousands of new technologies are created. iPads are one of the many up-and-coming tech products. iPads are extremely versatile and can be used for many different things! No matter what you use them for, they are a very helpful tool. They house millions of research articles, and are very Eco friendly.

Although some might argue that they are a distraction, they actually teach kids integrity and responsibility. Sure, a student could use it to play games but that students knows they are not helping themselves. A true learner will do the right thing when no one is looking. In other words they will focus on their work and the iPad will give them the right tools they need to excel. Overall, teachers should out some trust into their students and give them the opportunity to use the iPad for their school work.

One benefit of using an iPad is utilizing it’s many databases, books, articles, and educational videos. iPads make finding research truly painless. Instead of wasting valuable time going from library to library, the iPad has every book you could fathom already accessible. I have used the iPads databases for papers of my own so I can tell you firsthand how helpful they really are. I found hundreds of articles on my topic in a matter of seconds. It actually made writing a paper easy and fun! “McKeone says her high school students were not being taught the technology they would need to find jobs or continue their education after graduation. With grants from the University of Pennsylvania and the Milken Family Foundation, she could get iPads so the students will learn how helpful technology in the classroom can be”. (DeNisco 1). This quote gives an accurate example on how widely the iPad can be used. Not only do her students get to use they iPads, they get to be given the girl of knowledge, which is something that will never be taken away from them.

Another good thing about having iPads in the classroom is that they encourage students to share work and ideas with peers. Sharing ideas with peers can make all the difference in a good paper and a great one. Having feedback and constructive critiscm from others gives your work a better chance at being successful. Again, I have done this first hand and i can honestly say it makes all the difference in the world. Communication is the key to success and iPads give you exactly what you need to be successful.

IPads are extremely eco friendly. The environment is fragile and we must do everything we can to preserve it. iPad save paper which might not seem significant but when it all adds up it makes a huge difference. Just imagine how many papers and documents we have conpleted on our iPads. Now multiply that by the millions of people who use iPads and now you start to see the impact. Saving paper helps us live healthier and breathe cleaner.thanks to iPads we have saved thousands of trees which makes the world a happier place to live in. 🙂

Overall, iPads are one of the best learning tools students could possibly have. They give easy access to research, enable students to share their work with others quickly and easily, and as an added bonus, help keep the environment in good shape! iPads will be the perfect asset to schools all around the world. The sooner the schools get iPads the sooner we will see kids start to excel!
